End of a Myth - Ralf Kiefner

Sharks must be protected. – But who wants to protect animals that he is afraid of? The irrational fear that we have of sharks prevents us from getting to know them and may also explain our lack of interest in protecting them. We must overcome our fears to really understand these prehistoric creatures. Only if we change our attitude towards sharks will we be able to appreciate the importance of these elegant predators for the ecological balance in our oceans. Only if we change our attitude towards sharks, we will be able to respect them, encourage their conservation and learn to live together in peace.

Shark experts, a twelve year old boy and a camera crew dive and snorkel with four different species of sharks. Breathtaking and never thought to be possible interactions between humans and these fascinating creatures prove, that the bad reputation of sharks is unjustified.

There are three different versions available:
“End of a Myth – interacting with sharks” (english version)
“La Fin D´un Mythe – tutoyer les requins” (french version)
“Das Ende eines Mythos – Interaktionen mit Haien” (german version)
